Revolution-Aaron Pelsue Band

Hey all! It's been a while since I've posted anything. I've been busy with school and such, so I haven't had much time. I'm going to try to change that though!

Okay, so this is a new (well, new to me) band called the Aaron Pelsue Band. A friend of mine (who's name I won't say for security reasons-but she knows who she is! haha) told me about this band, and I had a listen. They are super amazing!

I hope we hear more from this band in the future!

Let me know what you think about the Aaron Pelsue Band!

How He Loves by David Crowder*Band

One of my favorite David Crowder*Band songs is this one. The descriptions that are used to describe God's love for us are just so powerful. This song brings so many pictures to my mind. Like the line that goes "...Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree, bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy...". Everyone's seen what a tree looks like in a category 5 hurricane. The tree is pretty much stripped of all its leaves, branches are breaking off, and it is swaying violently in the wind. So compare that image to what it is like experiencing God's love. His love takes away all of who we were, so He can help us grow again, always becoming more and more like Him. And when we experience His amazing love and grace, we can barely stand. How He loves us despite of who we are is simply amazing, and something to praise Him about!

Let the Waters Rise by MIKESCHAIR

This is an amazing new song by the new band MIKESCHAIR. I love this song because it sings about even if you feel like you are surrounded by crashing waves that threaten to drown you, God is still there with you, holding your head above water. And that we need to give all our worries and problems over to Him. Too many times, we get so caught up in looking at the waves and seeing just the storm, that we take our eyes off of Jesus (Matthew 14:22-33). This is when we feel we are going to drown. If we just trust God with everything , and hand all our troubles and fears over to Him, He will carry you through the storm.

Give This Christmas Away by Matthew West and Amy Grant

Okay, so I know that it is still a bit early to some for Christmas music :) But I love this song. And anyway, is there really a time when it is too early for Christmas music? Just kidding!

This song is a part of the VeggieTales: Saint Nicholas - A Story of Joyful Giving' video. It is sung by Matthew West and Amy Grant, and is done in conjunction with Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child.

The Sippy Cup Silly Song (Veggietales)

I came across this song on youtube, and I just had to share it! I hadn't seen this silly song before. Oh the memories this song brings back! The years of sippy cups in our house...the years of going into a restaurant and promptly dropping my drink on the floor when I stood up (even cups with lids). This video pretty much sums up my issues with open cups perfectly.

Comatose (live) by Skillet

Okay, before you quickly close this blog and think I've gone to the "dark side" of Christian music or something, let me just ask you to give it a chance.

This is one of my favorite songs of Skillet, particularly this live version. There are more guitars in the live version, versus the original (go ahead and laugh Muddy! lol). Plus, I love the meaning of the song. That without God in one's life, that person becomes sort of like a person in a coma, just going through the motions of life (another song for another time!).

The whole time during the video, I keep thinking that maybe the violin players ought to do a stage dive thing or something...especially when the camera pans the stage and you see the two guys up on those platforms on the sides of Jen Ledger on drums. That would be kinda funny!

Pink Tux to the Prom by Relient K

This was already a hilarious song without the video...but then my family and I stumbled across this video that was made for the song. And no, this is not an official music video.

I have to hand it to the guys who made this video-they did an amazing job!

I love this song because of the 80s references...a nice tribute to the 80s :)
